The sky is blue because light from the sun enters our atmosphere it collides with molecules in the air. The blue part of the light gets scattered more than the other parts during these collisions and thus makes the sky appear to our eyes as blue. If the light from the sun took a straight path down to our eyes with no scattering or absorption in the atmosphere, the sky would in fact look much as it does at night in the day time.
…I’m a nerd.
I don’t think the ability to copy-paste something from Yahoo Answers classifies you as a “nerd”, sorry.

Apparently I read 26% slower than the National Average, putting me at about the speed of a fourth grader. When I reblogged this everyone was like 75-125%+ faster than average, with a couple people slightly below average complaining about reading above the level of 8th grader or highschool graduate lmao.
The real sad part is this was better than I was expecting considering my difficulties with reading lol It probably helped me that they used War of the Worlds, a book I’ve both read and listened to on tape to probably 50+ times in my lifetime though, so I knew then page by heart as it was.
I wonder if I do it again if they’ll use a different book/page.i guess i read 25% faster than the national average? and also i got all the questions right.
and uh i guess i read slower than an 11th grade student?? and nowhere near a college student lmao
though i’m not surprised because i’ve always read slow.
You read 195 words per minute.
That makes you 22% slower than the national average.Kind of surprised, I guess.
You read 761 words per minute.
That makes you 204% faster than the national average.Well, that’s nice I suppose.
You read 277 words per minute.
That makes you 11% faster than the national average.
I’ve generally thought of myself as a slow reader.
So that means I’m higher than an 8th grader, but lower than an average adult which is supposedly lower than an 11th grader….but I’m in 11th grade so oh well.
I get amazed by the simplest things, I guess. For some reason I just am completely astounded by life’s little wonders, like these guys. I thought these were such cool things, so while at the beach I took a picture of them. There were horseshoe crabs all over the place, and i thought they were really interesting; the coolest thing, though, in my opinion was the cracked white crab. I ended up taking some souvenirs home with me :) The purplish one has a cat face on it! :3
Either way it was a good weekend—enjoy the artsy pictures!
